Last Chance to Vote For Us
After winning 'Trailblazer SME’ and
Sustainable Business of the Year at the Sustainable Business Network’s Northern regional awards, we are now finalists in the NZI National
Sustainable Business of the Year awards 2010. This is a people's choice award so YOU get to vote for your favourite finalist!
Tomorrow, Friday the 29th October is your last chance, so if you haven’t got around to it
yet we would really appreciate your support!
Top 5 reasons to vote for us:
- We have proved
that sustainability can benefit the bottom line
- We believe in thinking global but acting local, and we walk the talk
- We
encourage our clients to address the environmental, social and legislative issues at the outset, to address this country’s development
dilemmas.
- We’re may have some “tree-huggish” tendencies, but we “mean business” (see our article in stuff.co.nz)
- We’re punching above our weight…and we need your help!

Piha's looking good for summer
The Piha Wastewater Treatment Plant resource, land use and building consents have all been granted with physical works due to start in the next 2
– 3 weeks.
The Piha RSA, Bowling Club, South Piha Public Toilets and Campground are all to be connected to the
system which will be ready for the summer peak. During peak summer the wastewater flows increase from the quiet winter months by over
300%.
Contact our wastewater whiz Gareth Williams if you would like to find
out more.

Living Roofs
Zoë started up Living Roofs, an independent organisation promoting the uptake of green roofs and walls in New Zealand. At a previous
role at the Environment Agency in London, she was instrumental to the installation of a number of living roofs in London, and the development of a
Green Roof Toolkit, which received a Royal Town Planning Institute Award. We look forward to passing on this experience to our clients.
Zoë will be speaking at the upcoming CitiesAlive 2010 Green Roof & Wall
Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia in early December.
Find out more about how living roofs deliver better quality places
which are sustainable and help us adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change by visiting the Living Roofs website or you can directly contact Zoë .
