Auckland City Council Stormwater Programme

Andrew.Stewart Limited (ASL) was first engaged in 2002 to provide consent aquisition and RMA Quality Assurance Services for the Auckland City Stormwater Capital Works Programme.

This work included an extensive programme to assess and characterise RMA-related problems that were preventing or hindering the smooth and successful delivery of new capital works projects.

The programme currently involves:

• Watching brief of proposed amendments to RMA, Policy Statements, and Plans, with advice to Council regarding impacts and recommended course of action
• Client representation with key Authorities and stakeholders Identification of all required permits for all the projects within this large ongoing programme
• Liaison with various design engineers (from companies such as Harrison Grierson, Opus, GHD, Tonkin & Taylor and SKM, among others), project managers and specialist consultants
• Development and implementation of project specific consultation and communication plans
• Preparation, lodgement, post-lodgement management and acquisition of all Auckland City Council CAPEX programme regional and local resource consents

ASL established consultation guidelines with Ngati Whatua O Orakei for the Programme, which included negotiation and agreement on terms for a Service Level Agreement The comprehensive programme also includes ASL's innovative GreenLight™ service, which incorporates a completely outsourced environmental compliance management package, utilising CS-VUE™ Technology for Environment.
